6. Spitting on cars that are badly parked

If you don’t cause actual damage to the car, spitting on it won’t result in jail time. However, in Massachusetts, for example, spitting in public is considered a crime against public health. According to the same law, you can only spit in a “receptacle provided for that purpose exactly” while being in public.

Failing to do so will actually get you a $20 fine. However, not all states have the same laws. For instance, Chicago renounced its spitting penalty in 1997. Although the lawmakers thought that spitting is a pretty unhealthy act, they concluded that the act itself is not a breach of the law; so it shouldn’t be illegal.

  1. This is not correct, its called “public Intoxication” and even if you are not completely intoxicated, that is how it will be filed. Your only recourse is a lab test which will likely reveal any illegal substances in your system. If you beat the drunk test the cop will claim you were intoxicated and mearly recovered due to the time it took to get the test. If you have anything in your system you will be charged and you will loose. I have seen this happen to several of the employees that have worked for me.
