7. Using a radar detector
While it’s definitely naughty (according to most cops) to drive while using a radar detector, it’s not illegal at all. The use of a radar detector is legal in almost all U.S. states, except the District of Columbia and Virginia. However, the law doesn’t apply to a commercial vehicle.
If you’re driving a commercial vehicle, you can’t use a radar detector; it’s against the law. Military bases are also exceptions to the rule. They prohibit the use of radar detectors, so if you’re entering a military installation, make sure you won’t use a radar detector.

This is not correct, its called “public Intoxication” and even if you are not completely intoxicated, that is how it will be filed. Your only recourse is a lab test which will likely reveal any illegal substances in your system. If you beat the drunk test the cop will claim you were intoxicated and mearly recovered due to the time it took to get the test. If you have anything in your system you will be charged and you will loose. I have seen this happen to several of the employees that have worked for me.
