5. Your jewelry
If you store your jewelry in a safe deposit box your homeowners insurance will not take such a large hit. However, take into consideration that the rings or bracelets you wear regularly shouldn’t be placed in a safe deposit box as banks aren’t open 24 hours a day.
But this doesn’t mean that you should place your valuable accessories at plain sight. Store them in a secure place such as a hidden drawer or your home safe.
6. Your property records
As a general rule, it is a good idea to store these documents in a safe deposit box. Why? Because you’ll never know when you might need them. Maybe in ten years you’ll want to sell your home. Knowing that all of them are in a secure place with easy access will put your mind at ease.
