Apparently, we are not the only ones that see the tax season as a complete mess. This year, the IRS agrees with the rest of us! What a sudden change coming from them, right?
Well, it’s not exactly out of the blue. As April 15th approaches, we get more and more signs that this year, the tax season will be a complete mess. The IRS has the following reasons to finally agree with us:
1. The backlog from 2021 may be bigger than people thought
It has been recently reported that the IRS has to manually process about 24 million tax returns from 2020. This is much higher than initially mentioned by the IRS.
