One of the three U.S. states that border Canada, New Hampshire, has no taxes on unemployment compensation. The Granite State has another perk for its residents, too. It doesn’t have an income tax, meaning you will most likely enjoy all types of income.
However, if you live in New Hampshire, you should be aware of the fact that there’s a 5 percent tax on dividends and interest in excess of $2,400 for each individual. The same tax applies on $4,800 for joint filers. Still, there’s no sales tax in New Hampshire.
