The former Republican Speaker of the House was a child molester.
The congressman was caught by the FBI when the Bureau noticed strange regular payments made by Hastert to one of his victims, “Individual A”.
While the former speaker was a wrestling coach in high school during the ’60s and ’70s he molested at least 4 of his students.
He was caught when he agreed to pay more than 3 millions to one of his victims.
The sad part is that because the statute of limitations on the original crimes was due, he was imprisoned for only 15 months for illegally structuring bank withdrawals.
