Alcohol and gasoline do not mix! Well… they shouldn’t under normal circumstances, but for tax purposes? The IRS says it’s OK!
When a service station started offering a free beer with a fill-up, their gasoline sales went up. As such, the Tax Court said it’s alright to deduct the cost of the beer as a business expense, even if the IRS initially disagreed.
