To make up for lost income tax on workers who are replaced by machines, South Korea introduced the world’s first tax on robots. However, it’s not so much of a tax as the reduction of a tax break. The Korea Times reported the South Korean government will decrease tax deduction for companies that have invested in automation by up to two percentage points.
