Yes, slavery is technically illegal in all countries, it still very much still exists in various forms. According to the Global Slavery Index report, one example of this is in Uzbekistan, where 3.97 percent of the population was found to be living in modern slavery. Much of this is in the form of forced labor picking cotton.
