Setting up a pool in your backyard
When we think about summer, the first thing that pops into our heads is probably a swimming pool. After all, who doesn’t enjoy swimming on a hot summer day? So, it may seem like a lovely idea, but setting up a pool in your backyard could get you sued. How so?
Well, your pool could be an “attractive nuisance” to your neighbor’s children. Meaning that if a kid enters your property to have some fun in your new swimming pool, you’re responsible for everything that could happen. A personal injury attorney, Christopher Earley, says that there are many court cases based on that.
So, if you still want to have a swimming pool in your backyard, at least make sure it’s covered when you’re not using it, and surround it with a locked fence.
