7. Lottery Scam
Seems familiar with the email in which is written “Congratulations! You’ve won the lottery!”? This suspicious email is delivered to you out of nowhere–usually claiming to be a part of international sweepstakes–mentioning you’ve won big and that you just need to send over a processing fee or get in touch with someone who can process your winnings.
Of course, unless you have entered a legitimate lottery, chances are you haven’t won the jackpot. However, just to be clear, when you actually do win the lottery, you should contact the appropriate retailer–not the other way around.
