If it costs you peace of mind, the price is too high… Think about it: When you don’t owe dollars, you don’t have to think and worry about late fees, interest, annual fees, or over-the-limit fees. Credit card fees and interest will give you headaches, so you’re better off without them.
Instead, if you truly want to purchase something, save money until you can afford it. You will feel really good about yourself and, of course, the peace of mind that comes with not financing that purchase will be the best present.
