5. U.S. Marshals
You probably know that the U.S. Marshals Service is the nation’s oldest and most versatile federal law enforcement agency. In fact, federal marshals have served this country since 1789. The job of a U.S. marshal is to apprehend wanted fugitives, provide protection for the federal judiciary, transport federal prisoners and to keep safe endangered federal witnesses.
According to the United States Marshal Service, marshals capture more federal fugitives per year than all other national law enforcement agencies combined. So, if this sounds exciting, the United States Marshal Service is looking for qualified individuals (both men and women) who prove themselves capable of dealing with a wide range of law enforcement and administrative responsibilities.
