5.Indiana
Indiana is one of those states that has a budget surplus and its citizens are more than happy about this. Those who filed their 2020 taxes before January 2022 are eligible to receive a payment of $125 or $250 for married couples who filed jointly. All the payments started in May and will continue during the summer.
6.Maine
If you live in Maine, you already know that Governor Janet Mills has signed legislation that provides a one-time relief payment of $850 for those earning less than $100,000 for head of household and $200,000 for married couples who have already filed their taxes jointly.
Important: Residents who file their 2021 taxes before October 31st are eligible, even if they owe money to the state!
