It comes as no surprise that most life insurance companies look closely at your driving record. Your driving record include your complete driving history, so if you are a terrible driver, you must deal with the consequences.
Whether or not the insurance company asks about violations on the application, they can easily access Department of Motor Vehicles records in order to see if you’ve run afoul of the traffic laws. However, note that the last 3 to 5 years are crucial, so if you’ve improved your driving skills, you may receive a more favorable price.
