7 Useful Tax Deductions That Will Disappear in 2018

A deduction for moving expenses

If you are planning to move away due to your career, you may be able to deduct your moving expenses from your 2017 taxes. However, you’re only eligible is you meet criteria laid out by the IRS.

According to the IRS, you must move at least 50 miles away from your former home and job with the main purpose of getting a new one. Also, you have to work full-time at least 12 months in order to deduct expenses.

In 2018, though, this deduction is eliminated for all taxpayers except for armed forces members.
