Did you know that senators are paid almost $174,000 a year?
For those of my age, John Kerry is a pretty recognizable face. He was, and still is, an important person for America. His career began early in the 80’s and he was a senator until 2013.
John is also famous because he’s one of the people who is actively invested in public education.
You may also know that he has been married since 1995 to Teresa Heinz, who inherited a lot of money from her dead husband, John Heinz. Plus, she basically owns the Heinz Company. The wealth is estimated at between $750 million and $1 billion. That’s a lot of money!
The bottom line is that John Kerry has almost $250 million in his bank accounts.
