Even if New Hampshire “forgives” the first and second offense of cannabis possession for personal use (you’ll have to pay a $100 fine), there is still room for improvement. This year, the state’s house of representatives passed a bill regarding marijuana possession legalization, but New Hampshire’s 82nd Governor, Chris Sununu, didn’t agree with it.
One-fifth of New Hampshire residents (adults, of course) said that they are used to consume cannabis. According to the same survey, New Hampshire seems to be the 10th highest U.S. state when it comes to annual marijuana use.
Maybe that’s also because New Hampshire borders with states where marijuana is legal (Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine).
