13. You can be fired if you are gay
It is hard to believe this can happen, given the fact that we live in modern times, hundreds of marches are organized annually and since gay marriages are legal in every state. Because of that you would think discrimination of this sort should be illegal in all states.
Still, in 29 states you can be fired if you have a homosexual orientation. This may come as a shock to you since every year fundamental decisions are being made in order to expand the rights of the LGBTQ+ community.
Also, even transgender people can fall victims of this discriminatory action.
