Arizona – 2 Losses, 1 Pending
In Maricopa County, two Republicans filed a lawsuit that claimed GOP ballots were invalidated due to the use of Sharpied to fill their choices. Officials said that using Sharpies is, in fact, preferred and that there is no evidence that the ballots had any issues when it came time to being scanned. The Trump campaign also joined this lawsuit. Later, it turned out that no ballots were rejected, and officials even added that in such cases, voters could have cast another ballot anyway. The Republicans soon abandoned the lawsuit.
The Trump campaign, however, continued a legal battle in Maricopa where they claimed that certain ballots were improperly rejected. An audit found no problems with the votes, so the case was dismissed.
A widespread conspiracy theory concerning voting machines in the Grand Canyon State leads to another lawsuit that tried to overturn election results. As of right now, a judge hasn’t decided whether or not to accept the case.
