5. Baiting and then switch

Usually this is done by retailers and big companies, it’s no criminal hand here. They sometimes do this in stores too, but mostly online.

They bait you by displaying a product online at a very nice price, you order it and then you receive an email where the company says the wrong price was associated with the product and it’s much higher.

Another thing that they do is they allow you to add the reduced product in your cart, but then at checkout it’s ”suddenly” out of stock. But then they suggest you the same or a similar product at a much higher price.

What should I do?

Keep the receipt of the things that you are purchasing on Black Friday. Don’t let the retailers pressure you into buying products you don’t really feel like buying.

Use your credit card because if anything happens you will be protected under the Consumer Credit Act.
