4. Bog snorkelling
First held in 1985, the World Bog Snorkelling Championship takes place every single year in August, near Llanwrtyd Wells in mid Wales. Competitors come from all over the world, including the United States of America, Ireland, Germany, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
This sport consists in completing two consecutive lengths of a 120 yards water-filled trench cut through a peat bog in the shortest time possible while wearing traditional snorkel, diving mask and flippers. Plus, competitors aren’t allowed to swim. So, it could be quite interesting (and fun) to bet on this sport.
