6. Cow Patty Bingo

Yes, you read that right; there’s another version of bingo. “Cow patty bingo” was recorded in Kansas in March 1984. However, the game has many names. It was known as “bovine bingo” in Pierz, Minnesota (1985), and “cow chip bingo” in Uvalde, Texas (1987).

In spite of its name, Cow Patty Bingo is more like a lottery. The game consists in several squares that are made on a field; after that those squares are numbered and each person who wants to bet, bets on a numbered square. Finally, a cow is let loose, and the lucky person who holds the numbered square with the biggest amount of cow droppings wins.
