“A Game of Thrones” hardcover book: $19.99
Buying books is arguably a waste of money as you can borrow the same books at your local library for free. However, if you insist on buying, it’s better to opt for the paperback or e-book version, which cost much less.
For example, it costs $19.99 for the hardcover version of “A Game of Thrones,” $10.49 for paperback and $2.99 for the Kindle edition on Amazon. At those prices, you can buy six e-books for less than the cost of one hardcover book.

I do not have any choice in the gas I buy when the manufacturer states to use premium gas. I usually follow recommendations when using a product. If there is a problem, I can say “I followed the directions and still had the problem”.
