1. You see payments in other locations
If you don’t usually travel much or you are a resident of a certain location, then the payment that appears on your card will be, of course, in the same location. You may want to double check every purchase you make, especially if something strange appears on the list. If you notice that one of them appears in a location where you have never been before, it could be a scam.
It is always better to be safe than sorry!
2. You notice strange purchases
The biggest red flag of all when it comes to credit card fraud is finding unknown purchases on your bank account statement. Unfortunately, this type of fraud can happen at any time. That’s why you should always be vigilant and check your bank account on a regular basis, maybe a couple times a day.
Most banks have mobile applications, and it might be easy to check your account from the comfort of your own home.
