So, in order to prevent a quite expensive structural damage to your home, you should make sure there is no wood touching the ground near your house (like lumber, firewood, or tree stumps). You should also prevent any moisture from getting around your foundation by making sure the ground is at a downward angle from your house. If you notice any signs of termite damage, hire an exterminator to regularly perform a pest inspection.
