Common plumbing issues such as clogged drains can occur from time to time no matter where you live, and they usually aren’t a big deal to fix if you know a basic plumbing knowledge. However, the real problem comes when you buy an older home.
Older homes often hide galvanized iron water pipes, which become clogged with mineral deposits over time and gradually minimizing the water pressure in the home. Unfortunately, galvanized pipes cannot be repaired; they must be replaced. Also, make sure to check if your water is contaminated with lead.
