Gas and Oil Prices Will Rebound
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, oil prices will get to an average $48/b to $68b by March 2018. By 2030, though, oil prices will reach a shocking $95 a barrel. As the EIA Annual Energy Outlook predicts, the U.S. shale oil production will level off and the final oil price in 2050 will reach $117.
How it affects you: Logically speaking, higher oil prices translate into higher gas prices. During the dark days of the 2008 crisis, when oil prices were as high as $145 a barrel, gas prices reached $4 a gallon.
