Eating: Our First Priority

Is there a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than eating?

To half a million Americans, no!

Every year, approximately 500,000 folks go to Coney Island for the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. And all of them are ready for gastroenteritis in the name of patriotism.

According to the legend, four immigrants met at the Coney Island stand in 1916 and argued over which of them was most patriotic. The only way to settle things? Eating.
