Nike’s $100 Million ‘Killer Shoes’ Lawsuit

Have you ever wondered if a Nike shoe could pass as a deadly weapon?

Someone did. And he sued the company for it.

In 2013, Sirgiorgiro Clardy was sentenced to 100 years in prison for almost beating a man to death using a pair of Air Jordans. In a last attempt to clear his name, Clardy sued the Nike company for $100 million because they didn’t warn customers of the ‘potentially dangerous Nike and Jordan merchandise.’

The lawsuit was quickly dismissed.
