The American attorney who served as the 31st chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Barack Obama Administration, Mary Jo White, is notably known for being one of the best lawyers in our history. In fact, Forbes added her to their top 100 most powerful women in the world list.
Mary Jo White is known for many things, including being the prosecutor of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing terrorists and the first female who got the position as the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
She also led the prosecution of the ‘Teflon Don’ John Gotti, the notorious American gangster, and boss of the Gambino crime family, finally making his crimes stick.
