7. Lose ground on your credit report
We all want to be debt-free, but from wishing to being, it’s a long road. Just like any other unpaid debt, the unpaid debt to the taxman works exactly the same. So, you will most likely see your unpaid debt on your credit report.
And let’s say you’ll solve the issue in a couple of weeks… The problem is that your credit report is not like dirty laundry; once you get them from your washer and dryer is good as new… The unpaid debt will remain visible to creditors on your credit report for as many as seven years from the date you missed to pay the debt in question.
So, don’t lose ground on your credit report… it will chase you for many years.
