Georgia: Chickens Crossing The Road
The “why did the chicken cross the road?” joke has been taken to entirely new heights in Quitman, Georgia, where the poor feathered creatures can’t even cross the roads anymore.
To some, this may sound like a joke taken too far, but for others, it’s actually a very important piece of legislation.
In actuality, this law isn’t going to go after chickens and lock them up for crossing the road, and it’s instead intended to make animal owners aware of their animals at all times- pretty smart if you ask me!
Look, if it saves chickens from being crushed by oncoming traffic, I’m all for it!
