4. People who don’t file a 2019 or a 2020 tax return
It’s not ideal, but some people might find themselves in this position. Those who don’t file a tax return mainly because their income doesn’t hit the filing requirement threshold could still see a stimulus check. If Uncle Sam has any information on them from, let’s say, the Railroad Retirement Board, Veterans Administration, or the Social Security Administration, they will get their third stimulus payments just like they get their benefits.
However, if Uncle Sam can’t find enough information about you, you will still get the money one way or another. All you have to do is to claim them as a refund next year.
