7. Change Your Address and Telephone Number
If you’ve recently moved, make sure to update your contact information online. The Social Security Administration must know where to find you, so use your MySocialSecurity account to change the old address with the new one.
In fact, you can also update your telephone number. Just click on “My Profile,” search the “Update Contact Information” button and submit all your changes. However, note that this online service is not available for “those who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or do not have a U.S. mailing address,” according to the Social Security Administration.
