But, as you’ve probably guessed, it will take a while. For instance, service members getting VA benefits will probably wait for their third stimulus payments until mid-April. Some think that it will take even longer. Plus, federal beneficiaries will most likely get their stimulus payments in the same way they get their normal benefits.
Another possible thing that could happen to you is not receiving your third stimulus payment at all (although you’re entitled). If this occurs, you have to claim the money as a Recovery Rebate credit filed on your 2021 tax return. Thankfully, you can avoid the one-year delay or more by filing a 2020 tax return (there’s plenty of time as the deadline for this year is May 17).

I am 76 years old and I depend on my SS Check every month. It is what I survive with when it arrives if it ever arrives. I don’t understand why it takes so long to arrive. Thank you if you send me a response.
