It seems that marriage comes with a lot of obstacles and stimulus payments included, too. Why? Because the taxman is sending two separate stimulus payments to some joint filers. We don’t know why, but it happened, and maybe that’s why you’re still waiting for that third stimulus check to come…
The first half of stimulus payment is usually sent as a direct deposit, and the other half is sent by mail to the address the IRS knows about (the one on your most recent tax return). The second payment is generally delayed due to obvious reasons, but don’t panic; you’ll have it in your pockets eventually.
Check the “Get My Payment” tool if you’re a joint filer to find out the status of your payments.

I am 76 years old and I depend on my SS Check every month. It is what I survive with when it arrives if it ever arrives. I don’t understand why it takes so long to arrive. Thank you if you send me a response.
