Last on our list is Wyoming, another tax-friendly state. Despite the lack of an income tax, you still have to pay some sales taxes at 4%, but municipalities can add up to 2%. since the combined rate found by the Tax Foundation sits at 5.34%, this makes it the eight-lowest in the U.S.

Prescription drugs and groceries are exempt while clothes and motor vehicles are not.

Wyoming also has the tenth-lowest property tax rates in the nation, with the median property tax rates sitting at $575 per $100,000 of assessed home value.

And, lastly, there are no estate or inheritance taxes for you to worry about.
