Hawaii: Putting Coins In Someone’s Ear
If you frequently put points in people’s ears then we must urge you not to do this on your next trip to Hawaii- and if you already live in Hawaii, please do not do this under any circumstances as you’ll be breaking the law!
But, as strange as this sounds, this law is not put into place due to a magic trick gone wrong. In fact, it dates back to 1900 when Hawaii became a part of the United States. When all Hawaiian coins were ordered to be destroyed, people tried to hide them by putting them in their ears.
Nowadays, if you do this, you’ll really have the police looking at you funny, since doing so is a sign of being a drug dealer.
