Rhode Island: Buying Toothpaste And A Toothbrush On Sunday

Much like the Texas law from earlier, here’s one that has been circulating on the internet for quite a while. It is supposedly illegal to buy a toothbrush and toothpaste on Sunday in Rhode Island.

People who’ve read this may have tried to come up with clever reasons such as Sunday being God’s day, but that doesn’t make any sense. So, when you dig a little deeper it turns out you don’t have to rack your brains for an explanation- because it’s all fake.

There is no law in Rhode Island that states that you can’t buy these two items on a Sunday. As to where this myth actually originated, it’s hard to tell. One thing’s for sure, it definitely gained some traction on the internet, and now people believe it to be true! Well, we’re glad we could clear that one up too!
