Nevada

Although it’s called the Silver State, Nevada is pretty abundant in gold, too. And we are not only referring to the actual gold, as Nevada is actually America’s fifth gold producer, but its taxes (or, better said, no taxes), too. In other words, there are virtually no taxes on your unemployment benefits if you live in the Silver State.

Nevada imposes no income tax; however, Nevada residents are hit the hardest when it comes to the state sales tax. Nevada has a 6.85 percent levy, and localities can raise it to 8.38 percent. The average combined rate in Nevada is 8.23 percent, according to the Tax Foundation. So, even if you don’t have to pay taxes on your income, the state has its own ways to make sure you compensate for its loss.
