7. You’re not entitled to claim the third stimulus check
It’s not a surprise that not all of us are entitled to claim the third stimulus check. To sum things up, you don’t qualify for getting the third-round payment if:
- You are claimed as a dependent on a family member’s tax return;
- You don’t own a Social Security number;
- You’re a nonresident alien.
What you must know is that there are some exceptions when it comes to Social Security numbers. For instance, an adopted child is entitled to get the third stimulus check if he/she has an adoption taxpayer identification number (ATIN).
Important! If your third stimulus check is delayed, remain calm and try to figure out what’s causing the delay.

I am 76 years old and I depend on my SS Check every month. It is what I survive with when it arrives if it ever arrives. I don’t understand why it takes so long to arrive. Thank you if you send me a response.
