3. Social Security Card
It’s quite simple: if you wan to get Social Security benefits you’ll have to provide your Social Security number. Now, if you don’t have a Social Security card, you can solve this problem online. Go to the SSA website, create a MySocialSecurity account and request a replacement. (For more info regarding this issue, click here!)
In most U.S. states you can solve this social security-related problem online, however, if your state doesn’t have this option, you must have a U.S. mailing address in order to make the request.
4. Identification Card
In order to prove you are who you say you are, you can actually use several documents. According to the Social Security Administration you can use a state-issued non-driver identification card, a U.S. driver’s license, or a U.S. passport.
If you don’t have or can’t find one of these documents, you can also use a U.S. military identification card, a school identification card, an employee identification card, or a health insurance card.
