As the pandemic destroys our nation’s economy, companies will likely pull back on expansion, leaving a big gap in the construction industry. Both airlines, Delta and United announced plans to minimize capital investment by $2 billion as a result of the pandemic’s economic impact. Companies in many other sectors are expected to do the same.
Smaller construction companies may have to lay off workers as their supply of equipment and parts from China is disrupted. As a matter of fact, there are an estimated 7.6 million Americans working in this industry who could be affected by these drastic and violent changes.
