11. Timeshare contracts
Why are timeshare companies making it impossible to cancel a timeshare contract, and so desperate to keep you paying? Because signing and buying a time-share contract requires consumers to vacation in the same location year after year until the contract expires (so it’s a win for the timeshare company).
Clients are often pressured into buying these contracts. As of October 1, 2018, consumers can terminate their contracts within 10 days of the date all parties are in possession of a copy of the contract, without incurring any fees or penalties. That’s great news!
